Who Is Considered High Risk?

You may be considered high risk for breast cancer if you have one or more of the following:

  • A lifetime risk of 20% or greater ( based on risk assessment models)

  • A strong family history of breast or ovarian cancer

  • A known genetic mutation ( ex: BRCA1, BRCA2, PALB2, etc.)

  • A personal history of breast cancer or certain high-risk lesions

  • Extremely dense breast tissue

  • History of chest radiation

  • Other risk factors as determined through individualized assessment

  • 3D Mammography ( Tomosynthesis)

  • Breast MRI

  • Whole Breast Ultrasound

  • Contrast Enhanced Mammography (CEM)
